Dr. Enoch C. Kumar
Our Pastor and His Family
Enoch felt God's calling in his life at a very early age. He was born May 20th, 1973 in Mysore, India, and was raised in a family deeply committed to ministry. He is the son of first-generation missionaries Ramesh and Christina Kumar who are currently serving the Lord in and through "Shalom Biblical Baptist Church Ministries," located in Bangalore-INDIA. Pastor Ramesh Kumar was led to the Lord by an American missionary at the age of 16. Enoch came to the saving knowledge of Christ at the age of 7. His father was the one who led him to the Lord.
Enoch received his Bachelor of Arts from Christ College, Bangalor-INDIA. He went on to earn a Master of Religious Education degree (M.R.E.) in 1998 and Master of Divinity degree (M.Div) in the year 2000 from Tabernacle Baptist Theological Seminary in Virginia Beach, Virginia, U.S.A. He also completed his Doctor of Religious Education degree (D.R.E.) in the year 2001. In 2013 Pastor Enoch completed his Th.D program from Bible Baptist Theological Seminary, a ministry of Bible Baptist Church, Cromwell, CT.
Nirumpama, born October 12th, 1975 in Gulbarga, India, was also raised in a family sincerely committed to full-time ministry. She is the daughter of first-generation missionaries Prakash (late) and Susheela Guruputra. Nirupama's mother is still serving the Lord in and through "Shakinah Biblical Baptist Church Ministries." Nirupama was led to the Lord by her father at the age of 14. Enoch and Nirupama were married on the 25th of July, 2001 and have been blessed with two third-generation missionaries, Joshua Enoch Kumar and Joel Enoch Kumar.
